No, we don't want your money.
What we do want is something less costly but substantially more valuable... we want your voice...
Help: By signing our petition.
The online petition outlines our grievances and tells the Mayor and Council that the homeowners want a say. Please click here to read and sign our petition if you are in agreement.
Help: By contacting the Mayor and Council Members.
E'mail is easy to send... but also easier to ignore than a quick letter to your Council Member or the Mayor. Please click here to find information about contacting your council member or click here for information about contacting the Mayor.
If you are not the letter writing type then a quick phone call or an e'mail will certainly help the cause as well. Everything counts and the Nashville homeowners will not be ignored!!
Help: By registering to vote.
If you are not already registered, nothing scares incumbent politicians more than an influx of new voter registration forms. Click here for more information on voter registration in Nashville.
Help: By getting the word out in our local media.
Our local news sources are good about publishing public opinion pieces. The Nashville City Paper, The Nashville Scene and The Tennessean are good about printing letters to the editor. Feel free to reference this site (SaveNashville.org) as a resource in your letters and e'mails to promote a homeowner coup to take back Metro government from special interests and developers.
Help: By joining with some of our allies.
There are several other groups who are working against this tax increase. Tennessee Tax Revolt has some great information about the trend of families moving out of Nashville to surrounding communities and has some great resources for a fax campaign they are running. Also click here for other helpful online sites.
MOST IMPORTANTLY -- Help: By talking to your neighbors.
We'll need every voice in Nashville to help counteract the organized efforts by many groups who wish to expand their own interests at the expense of Nashville homeowners. Now is the time to say "NO" to these efforts and put Nashville homeowners back in charge of their government.
